Mary was once controlled by the mirror on the wall, but she has shattered the distorted reflection and embraced the apple she once considered poison.

"Everyone's recovery from an eating disorder is a different story. It's their own story. I absolutely cannot and will not speak for everyone. But for me it was learning to love my footprint. It was learning to love making waves. It was looking back on the marks that I had made and being proud of them. To see that by becoming stronger and using my voice I was able to bring some good into the world. It was forgiving myself and allowing myself to make mistakes and be human. I decided to join this project because it embraces the idea that you can change the world by using your voice." -Mary
